Thomas Harris

Thomas Harris is an American Writer born in 1940. As a child Harris was often isolated from other people, his best friends were his books. This author is known for the series of suspense novels about a character he created himself, Hannibal Lecter. Harris is the author of Red Dragon, The Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal and Hannibal Rising. Since his novels had a lot of success, they have been made into films which also had a lot of success.

Harris shows a great interest in criminal investigations, pathology, and psychology which is the reason why his novels focus on such issues. There are a lot of novels written by this author but the most known is The Silence of the Lambs. This novel creates in the readers a lot of intrigues which pushes them to continue their reading in order to try to understand what is really going on. For Thomas Harris, it can take a lot of days to write a book, much more than other authors since he likes to do a lot of research in order to be as specific and realistic as possible regarding psychological and criminal issues.
